Our primary foci are locomotion and manipulation , and underactuation and stochasticity are key challenges we address. The Aerospace Robotics Laboratory is a research group in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford University. Research in the ARL focuses on improving robotic performance through the application of feedback control, integrated sensing systems, and task-level autonomy. The Intelligent Robotics Laboratory (Kenji Hashimoto Lab.) was launched in April 2018 at Department of Mechanical Engineering Informatics, School of Science and Technology, Meiji University, Japan. We research on mobile robots such as legged robots and leg-wheel hybrid robots.

Our main objective is to design future intelligent systems, emphasizing in robotic systems capable to operate in hostile and unstable environments, with minimum or without human guidance and interaction. The members of the Dynamic Robotics Laboratory seek to achieve agile locomotion for legged robotic systems. Through creating robots that move swiftly and can easily handle impacts and kinetic energy transfer, we hope to push the limits of bipedal robots to make them useful in the real world.
